Job summary

tms is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for Telemetry in California to provide specialized, patient-centered cardiac monitoring. The RN assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates care and collaborates with the interdisciplinary team to ensure safe, high‑quality outcomes.

Requirements include an ASN, active RN license in California, and BLS certification; BSN and ACLS are preferred. Recent telemetry, progressive care, or acute care experience is valued.

Qualifications

• Recent Telemetry/Progressive Care/Medical Surgical/acute care nursing experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care for telemetry patients.
• Continuously monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms, recognizing and reporting significant changes.
• Administer medications, IV therapies, blood products, and prescribed treatments safely and accurately.
• Monitor patient condition, vital signs, and response to treatment.
• Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to coordinate patient care.
• Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, medications, treatments, and discharge planning.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and electronic medical records.
• Respond promptly to changes in patient condition and medical emergencies.
• Follow infection prevention, patient safety, HIPAA, and regulatory standards.
• Float to other units as assigned based on competency and patient care needs.
