Job summary

Baylor St. Luke's Medical Center in Houston, TX is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to deliver compassionate, high-quality care, perform assessments and skilled procedures, and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to support patient well-being and recovery.

You will contribute to individualized care plans, participate in discharge planning, and uphold patient safety while delivering excellent outcomes in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• BSN is required.
• At least 1 year RN experience upon hire.
• Registered Nurse license in TX upon hire.
• Basic Life Support CPR within 14 days.
• Competence in RN I performance expectations.

Responsibilities

• Conducts comprehensive patient assessments and provides holistic nursing care, notifying physicians of significant changes.
• Develops, directs, and evaluates individualized care plans with patient/family education and discharge planning.
• Prepares patients for procedures, implements physician orders, and ensures patient safety protocols including medication administration.
• Reassesses patient responses to interventions and communicates modifications to physicians.
• Utilizes Bedside Shift Report to provide thorough patient updates and delegates tasks for seamless care transitions.
• Maintains a safe patient and work environment and contributes to quality and patient satisfaction initiatives.
