Qualifications

• Telemetry experience preferred.
• RN license (permanent multi-state) required; must obtain multi-state license if current license is from another compact state within 30 days.
• American Heart Association BLS CPR required, obtained within 7 days of hire.
• ACLS and NIHSS required within orientation period for ICU/CCU, SICU, CVICU.

Responsibilities

• Initiates and documents a written plan of care within specified timeframe.
• Performs patient interventions completely and proficiently with age-specific competency.
• Verifies, during hospitalization, orders for accuracy including reconciliation of medications, scheduling of tests/procedures, pre-op data, and consent forms.
• Follows medication and IV therapy policies, ensures patient identification, and monitors first-dose medications for adverse reactions.
• Interprets diagnostic data and notifies physician of critical lab values per hospital protocol.
• Performs related duties as required.
