Job summary

Longview Regional Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse for the PCU East unit. You will provide patient-centered care within established protocols and collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to achieve optimal outcomes.

The RN will administer medications, monitor patient status, and educate patients and families. Telemetry and acute care experience are valued, with strong emphasis on safety, compassionate care, and teamwork in a busy hospital setting.

Qualifications

• 0-2 years clinical nursing experience in acute care is required.
• RN license current in the state of Texas or compact.
• BLS certification required; ACLS/PALS may be preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient-centered nursing care using the nursing process.
• Administer prescribed medications and monitor for side effects.
• Collaborate with physicians and care team to develop care plans.
• Document care and education in the medical record promptly.
• Respond to emergencies and participate in CPR/Code team activities.
• Maintain infection control practices and ensure patient safety.
