Job summary

The Registered Nurse (RN) in the Telemetry unit at Northwest Medical Center provides patient-centered care using the nursing process, coordinating with physicians and the care team to ensure safe, effective outcomes. This role supports a fast-paced environment with advanced telemetry monitoring and education for patients and families.

Night shift, 3 x 12 hour shifts per week, with self-scheduling. ACLS required; new-to-telemetry nurses receive Basic EKG training during orientation.

Qualifications

• 0–2 years of clinical nursing experience required or student rotations in acute care.
• 1+ years RN experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and deliver high‑quality, patient‑centered care per nursing process and protocols.
• Document assessments and changes in condition accurately; notify care team as needed.
• Administer medications and monitor for adverse effects; document administration.
• Assist physicians during procedures within competency scope.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans with the team.
• Respond to emergencies; participate in CPR and code team activities.
