Job summary

Henry Ford Health is seeking an RN to lead the coordination and delivery of compassionate patient care on a 24-bed medical/surgical unit with telemetry. The role requires applying the nursing process and communicating with the health care team to meet patient goals, while supervising and documenting care for patients and families.

Education includes BSN as preferred and Michigan licensure; BCLS certification is required.

Qualifications

• BSN preferred and licensed or eligible to practice in Michigan.
• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
• Clinical knowledge and analytical abilities to formulate effective nursing care plans.
• Ability to perform a wide variety of professional nursing services.
• Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and hospital personnel.
• Current licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing.
• Health care provider certification (BCLS).

Responsibilities

• Provides leadership in the coordination and delivery of quality compassionate patient care.
• Utilizes the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation, to provide, delegate, supervise and document care and teaching of patients and family.
• Effectively communicates pertinent patient/family information to health care team.
• Participates in finding solutions for variances from patient goals and ensures implementation of solutions.
• Unit overview: 24 bed medical/surgical unit with telemetry; RN’s care for a variety of surgical cases along with general medical patients including telemetry.
