Job summary

Atrium Health Mercy Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte, NC is seeking a part-time Registered Nurse for the 5N Surgical Telemetry unit to provide patient-centered care on a 7pm–7am shift. The RN will apply the nursing process, collaborate with the care team, and promote safety on a fast-paced unit.

Candidates should hold an active RN license in NC, have BLS certification, and typically possess 1 year of clinical nursing experience.

Qualifications

• RN license to practice in the state(s) where care is provided.
• BSN preferred.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Engages in unit councils, governance, and quality initiatives to improve care processes.
• Utilizes the nursing process to assess, plan, diagnose, implement, and evaluate nursing care.
• Monitors patient conditions and updates care plans.
• Upholds a culture of safety.
• May administer medications and therapies per protocol.
• Maintains accurate EHR documentation.
