Job summary

HCA Florida Aventura Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Medical-Surgical unit. You will deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in collaboration with physicians and the care team, following established nursing models and standards of practice.

An advocate for patients and families, you will strive for exceptional outcomes and patient experience. Position requires an ADN, RN licensure, and at least 1 year of RN hospital experience.

Qualifications

• ACLS and BLS certification required within 30 days of start date.
• RN license or registration as required by state.
• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or equivalent is required.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient condition at admission and during each shift, reporting changes promptly.
• Administer prescribed medications, monitor response, and document care in the medical record.
• Provide prompt, compassionate care and respond to patient requests; anticipate needs.
• Educate patients and families about conditions, treatment plans, medications, and follow-up steps; explain terms clearly.
