Job summary

Detroit Medical Center in Hamtramck, MI seeks a Registered Nurse (RN) Clinical Coordinator, Telemetry to lead care delivery on the telemetry unit and coordinate staffing. The role includes supervising the care-team, assigning shifts, prioritizing patient needs and contributing to process improvements.

The ideal candidate has anRN license in Michigan, an associate degree or diploma (BSN preferred), 1–2 years of leadership experience, BLS required and ACLS preferred.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree or Diploma required; BSN preferred.
• Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in Michigan.
• 1–2 years of progressively more responsible leadership experience.
• Ability to prioritize work, delegate and facilitate processes.
• Minimum Level 6 of the Promoting Excellence Performance Criteria; internal preferred.
• BLS required; ACLS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and resource nurse personnel; act as clinical resource and plan staff meetings.
• Monitor staffing schedule to maintain adequate nurse-patient ratio; adjust as needed.
• Facilitate shared decision making and improve unit throughput to reduce LOS.
• Provide in-service programs to maintain staff competence.
• Assist with interviewing, mentoring, and staff evaluation.
• Contribute to department policies, procedures and standards.
• Participate in process improvement and peer reviews.
