Job summary

Hudson Regional Hospital in Secaucus, NJ is seeking an experienced RN - Telemetry to provide and coordinate patient care, education and emotional support for patients and families in a fast-paced cardiac unit.

The role requires careful assessment, plan of care development, and adherence to HIPAA and infection prevention protocols, with focus on continuous monitoring of cardiac rhythms and rapid response to changes in condition. Onsite Nursing Residency for new grads offered.

Qualifications

• NJ or multi-state compact RN license required or in progress.
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing; BSN/MSN preferred.
• 6 months to 1 year healthcare experience preferred.
• ACLS certification within 6 months of hire.
• Specialty certification and IV certification preferred.
• New graduates must attend onsite Nursing Residency Program.

Responsibilities

• Performs individualized patient assessments and documents priorities.
• Develops and implements an individualized plan of care in collaboration with the team.
• Provides patient/family education specific to the care plan.
• Monitors cardiac rhythm and reports deterioration to MD within 1 hour.
• Administers medications using BCMA and adheres to safety protocols.
• Performs life-saving measures per adult resuscitation protocols.
• Familiarizes self with new equipment and procedures.
• Precepts new nurses and supports team training.
