Job summary

Southern Regional Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse to deliver safe patient care using the nursing process. This full-time role requires 12-hour days in Riverdale, GA, and responsibilities include direct patient care, patient/family teaching, and collaboration with physicians on cardiac monitoring and treatment responses.

The position emphasizes timely response to changing conditions, adherence to standards of care in Telemetry, and ongoing competency in ACLS/BLS and ventilator

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN License.
• Current BLS certificate upon hire.
• Basic Arrhythmia Interpretation within 30 days of hire.
• Current ACLS certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
• Previous Acute Care hospital experience preferred.
• Ventilator Management experience preferred.
• Medical-Surgical Nurse-Board Certified (RN-BC) or similar certification; preferred.
• BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care within the scope of practice.
• Directs and guides patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of care in Telemetry Unit.
• Directly responsible and accountable for the care given to assigned patients.
• Communicates with the physician about changes in patient condition including cardiac monitoring, diagnostic results, and symptoms.
• Responds quickly and accurately to changes in condition and/or response to treatment.
