Job summary

Palmetto General Hospital in Florida seeks an experienced Telemetry Nurse to deliver high-quality care using the nursing process in the Telemetry Unit. You will assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care, communicating clinical changes to physicians as needed.

You will respond quickly to evolving patient conditions, perform general nursing duties with supervision, and participate in performance improvement and CQI activities to enhance outcomes.

Qualifications

• One year acute care experience preferred.
• Telemetry course or experience in telemetry.
• Basic computer knowledge.
• Graduate from an approved nursing educational program as defined by NCSBN.

Responsibilities

• Deliver quality care through the nursing process in the Telemetry Unit (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation).
• Provide direct and indirect patient care in the Telemetry Unit and communicate changes in patient condition to physicians.
• Respond promptly to changes in clinical status or treatment response and perform general nursing duties with supervision.
• Participate in CQI activities and performance improvement initiatives.
