Job summary

Palmetto General Hospital is seeking a registered nurse to deliver high-quality patient care across Medical/Surgical, Telemetry or Step Down units. You will use the nursing process to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient needs, and communicate changes in clinical status to physicians promptly.

Ideal candidates have a nursing degree from an approved program, current Florida RN licensure, and BLS/ACLS certifications.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an approved nursing educational program as defined by the NCSBN.
• Current FL RN licensure with unrestricted practice.
• BLS and ACLS certifications by American Heart Association.
• Telemetry course or telemetry experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver quality care using nursing process: assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation.
• Provide direct and indirect patient care in Medical/Surgical, Telemetry or Step Down Unit.
• Communicate changes in patient condition with physicians including test results.
• Respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment.
• Participate in performance improvement and CQI activities.
