St. Elizabeth Healthcare is hiring a Patient Care Assistant Clerical Assistant for the TCU 6C Neuroscience Telemetry Unit at Edgewood Hospital.

This 28-bed unit offers a dynamic team environment where patient care and administrative tasks merge. Shift: 7P-7A, PRN. The PCA/clerical role supports nurses by handling patient flow, basic care tasks, and unit clerical duties, with on-the-job training and career growth opportunities within a Magnet-recognized system.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to perform vital signs and basic patient observations.
• Knowledge of body mechanics and safe patient handling.
• General computer skills and common software applications.
• Customer service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates and maintains clerical functions on the unit.
• Greet patients/visitors and answer phones with courtesy.
• Complete worklist tasks triggered by orders under licensed staff supervision.
• Provide direct and indirect patient care under RN or LPN direction.
• Assist patients with activities of daily living and maintain a safe, clean environment.
