Job summary

Northside Hospital in Georgia seeks an experienced nurse to oversee the Central Monitoring Unit operations, ensuring timely response to telemetry alerts and coordination with multiple departments. This role may serve as Monitor Technician as needed, and will assume 24-hour responsibility in the manager's absence.

Requirements include GA RN license (or compact), BLS, and (preferred) supervisory experience with a specialty certification. ACLS/PALS/NRP may be required based on department needs.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Three years of clinical experience, with at least one year in area of specialty.
• GA RN license or Multi-state license (NLC/eNLC) required.
• BLS certification required; competency in EKG/arrhythmia interpretation.
• ACLS, PALS, NRP may be required based on department needs.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Central Monitoring Unit operations and telemetry monitoring.
• Coordinate with departments providing telemetry services and serve as liaison.
• Maintain accurate records and escalate cardiac rhythm changes promptly.
• May perform Monitor Technician duties as needed.
• In the manager’s absence, assume 24-hour responsibility for the department.
