Job summary

Baptist Health System, Inc. in Kentucky is seeking a part-time Nursing Assistant for the 4th Floor Telemetry to support patient care under RN supervision.

You will document vital signs, assist with hygiene and mobility, and perform hourly rounds to ensure safety and patient satisfaction. Requires a high school diploma; BLS within 90 days; CNA preferred; six months hospital/long-term care experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• BLS certification required within 90 days of hire.
• CNA certification preferred.
• Six months experience in a hospital or long-term care facility preferred.

Responsibilities

• Obtains and documents patient height and weight on admission.
• Turns and positions patients every 2 hours using proper body mechanics.
• Assists with activity and ambulation; helps patient up to a chair and supports mobility as ordered.
• Assists patients with personal hygiene including showering, bathing, shaving, and oral care.
• Takes and records vital signs accurately within the established time frame.
• Performs hourly rounds to ensure patient safety and satisfaction.
