Job summary

Prime Healthcare is seeking a Medical Surgical Telemetry Nursing Assistant (Non-Certified) for Providence Medical Center in Kansas City, KS. This per diem role supports nurses with basic patient care on heart monitors, monitors vital signs, and helps with mobility and safety.

Entry‑level NAs are welcome; CNA certification and BLS within 30 days are preferred. You will observe patients, report changes, and work under supervision during night shifts in a busy hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant certificate upon hire, preferred.
• Current BLS within 30 days of hire and maintain current.
• Knowledge of Medical Terminology.
• Minimum six months’ previous experience in an acute care hospital or physician’s office preferred.

Responsibilities

• Basic patient care: assist with ADLs.
• Vital signs monitoring: blood pressure, heart rate, temperature, RR, SpO2.
• Mobility assistance: help with bed transfers and walking.
• EKG lead maintenance: ensure telemetry monitors are connected and functioning.
• Observation: monitor for changes and alert nursing staff.
