Job summary

Salinas Valley Health in Salinas, CA is seeking a Registered Nurse for the 4T Telemetry unit. You will complete nursing assessments, develop and coordinate plans of care, discharge planning, and patient/family teaching, while collaborating with physicians and the health care team.

Requirements include ASN (BSN preferred), California RN license, BLS, and at least 12 months of acute care experience. Night shift with differential and 0.9 FTE; 36 scheduled hours weekly.

Qualifications

• ASN required; BSN preferred.
• Active California RN license and BLS/Healthcare Provider status per AHA.
• 12+ months of RN experience in an acute care setting; pharmacology and EKG test may be required.

Responsibilities

• Completes nursing assessment of patient and documents appropriately.
• Develops a plan of care based on assessment and patient needs.
• Collaborates with physicians and health team to plan care.
• Provides, delegates, and coordinates the care plan.
• Initiates discharge planning and patient/family teaching.
• Evaluates patient response and updates care plan as needed.
• Performs duties to maintain safety and participate in performance improvement.
