Job summary

Saint Joseph’s Hospital and Medical Center in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a Telemetry Nurse to care for patients on Tower 5’s 30-bed medical telemetry unit. You will provide individualized, expert nursing care across cardiology, telemetry, orthopedics, and emergency services.

You’ll perform thorough assessments, deliver evidence-based interventions, and collaborate within an interdisciplinary team to drive optimal patient outcomes in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• RN license with the state of Arizona.
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certificate.

Responsibilities

• Provides comprehensive, safe, and effective, evidence-based nursing care to achieve desired health outcomes for the patient.
• Organizes and prioritizes patient care activities balanced with the needs and comfort of the patient.
• Demonstrates accountability for own ethical behavior, and supports ethical practice by addressing and/or escalating issues.
• Serves as an advocate for patients needs by demonstrating holistic care practices.
• Demonstrates the ability to recognize and adapt to changes in patients condition (Lab, vitals, signs and test values) in a timely and clinically appropriate manner.
• Utilizes SBAR format tool to notify physicians and other providers of clinical findings, performs nurse-to-nurse report at the bedside.
