Job summary

Atrium Health is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join the Telemetry unit at High Point Medical Center. The role performs nursing duties under RN supervision, supports patient assessments, medication administration, and care coordination on a 36-hour per week schedule.

Requirements include NC LPN licensure, graduation from an accredited program, and BLS within 6 months unless exempt. Prior LPN experience preferred; benefits include comprehensive health and retirement plans.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited LPN training program.
• Licensed Practical Nurse licensure from the state of NC.
• AHA BLS certification within 6 months unless exempt by department leadership.
• Previous LPN experience in a clinical or healthcare setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides nursing care activities per approved health care plan under RN/physician supervision.
• Directs or escorts patients, assists with exams, makes observations, and collects data.
• Administers and documents medications ordered by providers; calls in med orders.
• Interprets patient data, recognizes status changes, and adjusts care as needed.
• Records and reports findings in the patient chart per policy.
