Job summary

Geisinger is seeking a Centralized Cardiac Monitoring Technician to monitor patient telemetry and notify nurses of rhythm changes. The role offers a $1,500 sign-on bonus for eligible candidates and up to $3 shift differentials for evenings, nights, and weekends.

Training is provided, with a focus on high-quality patient care. The position requires a High School Diploma or GED and is based in a hospital setting.

• No Experience Required. On The Job Training Provided.

Responsibilities

• Maintain ongoing surveillance of patients’ cardiac rhythms and notify staff of changes.
• Measure and document heart rhythm every four hours on rhythm strips.
• Initiate and discontinue monitoring on admission, transfer, or discharge.
• Troubleshoot monitors and coordinate with Clinical Engineering as needed.
• Provide reports to oncoming shift and organize priorities per changing situations.
