Job summary

Doctors Hospital of Augusta, part of HCA Healthcare, is seeking a PRN Monitor Technician to provide bedside support and monitor telemetry for assigned patients. You will interpret rhythms, document patient status, and communicate changes to the nursing team.

The role requires BCLS within 30 days, ability to pass rhythm exams, and preferred telemetry experience. We value teamwork and a caring, patient-focused approach in our 350+ bed facility serving the Augusta community.

Qualifications

• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• Must be able to pass the Rhythms and Arrhythmias exam.
• Telemetry experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Interpret Rhythms and Arrhythmias.
• Report all changes in heart rate/rhythm to appropriate nursing staff.
• Maintain Telemetry Supplies.
• Record patient condition utilizing computerized documentation systems.
• Perform duties with full understanding of related age specific factors.
• Orient and mentor new staff members.
• Follow Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
