Job summary

Physicians Regional Medical Center in Naples, FL is seeking a Monitor Technician responsible for continuous surveillance of telemetry monitors, interpreting cardiac rhythms and documenting rhythm strips. You will promptly notify nurses of rhythm changes and verify equipment configuration to support patient safety.

The role requires completion of a telemetry or EKG interpretation course and 0–2 years of clerical or clinical experience.

Qualifications

• Telemetry or EKG interpretation course completed.
• 0-2 years of clerical and/or clinical experience in a medical setting.

Responsibilities

• Continuously observe and interpret telemetry monitors and record rhythm strips.
• Identify rhythm changes and promptly notify the nurse or other licensed personnel.
• Maintain effective communication with peers, staff, physicians, and leaders for seamless care coordination.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues with monitoring equipment; escalate unresolved problems as directed.
• Organize and track monitoring equipment during shifts and ensure proper configuration for admissions/transfers/discharges.
• Ensure accurate lead placement and electrode application for optimal telemetry monitoring.
• Perform other duties as assigned and maintain regular attendance.
• Comply with all policies and standards.
