Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required for all new hires.
• Current Dysrhythmia Interpretation Certificate within 30 days of hire and maintain.
• Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.

Responsibilities

• Monitor cardiac rhythms via direct cardiac monitors and provide indirect care.
• Transcribe physician orders in absence of CPOE/EMR systems.
• Verify that lab and radiology tests have been ordered and completed.
• Prepare and compile records for Med/Surg/Telemetry units.
• Order supplies and maintain patient charts daily.
• Assist nursing staff with indirect patient care while maintaining focus on dysrhythmia monitoring.
• May provide direct care under RN supervision if CNA-certified and competent.
