Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Health in Frisco is seeking a Monitor Technician for night (7p-7a) shifts on a PRN basis. The role involves monitoring patients via telemetry, recording ECG data, and reporting arrhythmias to the care team.

This position supports patient care in a fast-paced hospital setting. Responsibilities include operating monitoring systems, ensuring equipment is functional, and maintaining accurate logs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Less than 1 year of experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
• Enrollment in Cardiac Rhythm Test program within 1 year if not currently certified.
• Knowledge of telemetry services and patient monitoring.
• Good verbal and written communication; ability to work with a healthcare team.

Responsibilities

• Operate ECG monitoring systems and rhythm screens; document patient data.
• Identify and report arrhythmias to staff; maintain accurate patient logs.
• Set up central monitoring station; monitor alarms and troubleshoot false alarms.
• Maintain, clean, and sanitize monitoring equipment; report malfunctions to Biomed.
• Assist with rhythm interpretation and event labeling on monitor strips.
