Job summary

The Heart Hospital McKinney, part of Baylor Scott & White Health, is seeking a Monitor Technician for full-time days. You will work three 12-hour shifts per week with rotating weekends in Nursing Unit 1, monitoring telemetry and reporting arrhythmias to staff.

Essential duties include operating ECG monitoring systems, documenting patient data, and ensuring equipment is well maintained. A valid HS diploma or GED and <1 year of experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required.
• Less than 1 year of experience stated in ad.
• Understanding of telemetry services and cardiac monitoring.

Responsibilities

• Operates complex cardiac monitoring systems and rhythm screens.
• Records and reports ECG monitors and patient information to staff.
• Maintains, cleans, and reports equipment malfunctions.
• Sets up central station, monitors alarms and corrects improper placement.
• Assists with rhythm interpretation and dysrhythmia detection.
• Keeps a neat log of patient cardiac monitoring status.
