GRMC is seeking a Special Care Unit Monitor Technician to monitor cardiac rhythms, enter Meditech orders, and perform basic patient care. The role includes reporting rhythm changes to nursing staff, maintaining equipment, acquiring vital signs, and assisting with admissions and transfers.

You may be floated to other departments as needed, following charge nurse guidance. Required are a high school diploma or GED, and NM CNA certification or EMS license or Level I/II nursing courses or MA

Qualificações

• High School Diploma or GED.
• New Mexico CNA certification or EMS license or Level I/II nursing courses or MA experience.
• BLS (AHA) certification.
• Basic ECG rhythm recognition within 3 months of hire.
• PEARS (AHA) within 6 months from hire date.
• Previous monitor tech experience preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Monitor, interpret, and post cardiac strips and alert providers/nurses of abnormal parameters.
• Provide basic emergency medical care or first aid when needed.
• Assist with admissions, transfers, discharges, and ambulation.
• Provide basic nursing care including bathing, ADLs, vital signs, Accu-checks.
• Document vital signs, treatments, and procedures accurately and promptly.
• Prepare patients for procedures and assist RN with care as directed.
