Job summary

Hartford HealthCare Windham Hospital seeks a Telemetry Monitor Technician to join the patient care team at Windham Hospital in Windham, CT. The role runs 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and requires following the RN or Unit Manager's direction while identifying cardiac rhythms and documenting findings.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Telemetry Monitor experience preferred but will train.
• Clerical skills preferred. Knowledge of medical terminology and computer skills highly preferred.
• Previous experience in a medical setting preferred.
• Must possess strong interpersonal skills, the ability to multi-task and interact effectively with health care team members, patients and families.
• Knowledge of arrhythmia detection highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Under the direction of a Registered Nurse or Unit Manager, performs all monitoring related functions as a member of a patient care team by identifying cardiac rhythms, communicating with health care team members and documenting.
• Reports to Manager.
