Job summary

Mercy Health is seeking a Monitor Tech for the Bone Marrow Transplant Unit in the Oncology ICU at The Jewish Hospital. This role supports patient safety by monitoring ECG waveforms and communicating critical information to nursing staff during daily shifts (Days/Afternoons).

The position requires attention to detail, basic math, and strong teamwork in a fast-paced, faith-based health system. Schedule: 24 hours weekly; shifts primarily Days/Afternoons.

Qualifications

• Prior EKG or telemetry experience (preferred, not required).
• Successful completion of EKG/arrhythmia exam (required by end of orientation).
• EPIC Electronic Health Record (EHR) experience preferred (not required).

Responsibilities

• Provides continuous cardiac monitor observation
• Informs nurses of essential information regarding equipment, changes in cardiac rhythm, and patient updates
• Compiles patient data and report on a shift by shift basis
• Takes care of the monitoring equipment and notification of bio-medical when equipment needs to be replaced or taken out of service for repairs
• Other duties as assigned
