Job summary

LewisGale Medical Center, part of HCA Healthcare, is hiring a Monitor Tech to interpret cardiac rhythms, maintain telemetry supplies, and manage patient records per hospital policy.

The role requires knowledge of rhythms, a monitor tech examination, and BLS within 30 days of start. Previous CMT or monitor tech experience is preferred. LewisGale offers a comprehensive benefits package and equal opportunity employment.

Qualifications

• BLS must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• Working knowledge of basic rhythms and arrhythmias required
• Completion of basic EKG/Arrhythmia course and successful Monitor Tech examination
• Previous experience as CMT/Cardiac Tech or Monitor Technician preferred

Responsibilities

• Communicate effectively with staff, supervisors, ancillary department and other customers
• Maintain a neat and organized work place
• Acquire and maintain correct knowledge in hospital/unit information
• Operate computer systems as necessary
