Qualifications

• Monitor technician experience or AdventHealth Monitor Technician training.

Responsibilities

• Documents per department policy and maintains telemetry logbook.
• Observes monitors, recognizes normal/abnormal EKG patterns and notifies staff.
• Maintains monitor alarms per policy and troubleshoots as needed.
• Participates in performance improvement activities and supports quality standards.
• Maintains telemetry printouts during cardiac arrest and as needed.
• Ensures effective communication with the healthcare team about patient status.
• Keeps work area clean and equipment properly sanitized.
• Participates in ongoing education and training to stay current with procedures.
