Job summary

Texas Health Plano is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) for Medical Surgical Telemetry. The role supports Cardiac Telemetry patients with a 1:5 to 1:6 nurse-to-patient ratio on night shifts. Comprehensive benefits and a Magnet-designated facility with opportunities for growth are offered.

Candidates must have an RN license, BCLS, ACLS within 90 days, CPI within 60 days, and 1 year of Med/Surg Tele experience preferred. Work location is Plano, Texas, with 36 hours weekly and nights from 7pm to 7am.

Qualifications

• Nursing diploma or degree required
• RN licensure or compact licensure upon hire
• BSN preferred
• BCLS upon hire with >3 months remaining preferred
• ACLS within 90 days
• CPI within 60 days of hire
• 1 year RN experience required
• 1 year RN Med/Surg Tele experience strongly preferred

Responsibilities

• Deliver care using the Nursing Process
• Assess the patient
• Plan care for the patient
• Intervene as needed
• Evaluate effectiveness of interventions
• Incorporate age-specific safety and infection control measures
• Initiate information for patients and families
• Maintain continuity of care across shifts and transfers

Education

Nursing Diploma

Associate Degree in Nursing
