Job summary

The Medical-Surgical/Telemetry Nurse at MUSC provides direct nursing care to adult patients with medical-surgical and telemetry needs on a 30-bed unit, ensuring safety and accurate monitoring. Documentation in Epic and effective communication within the team are essential.

This full-time Day shift (7a-7p) includes every other weekend. The role requires an Associate's Degree, SC RN licensure, and BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree required.
• Licensure as a registered nurse by SC Board or compact state.
• Current BLS certification (AHA or ARC) required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to adult medical-surgical and telemetry patients.
• Document thoroughly in Epic and participate in bedside shift reports.
• Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary team to ensure patient safety and outcomes.
• Educate patients and families on care plans and discharge instructions.
