Job summary

Allegheny Health Network is seeking an LPN to join the direct care healthcare team. You will provide care to patients under the direction of a registered nurse and assist with examinations, treatments, and testing in a multitier clinical environment.

The position requires High School/GED and LPN licensure, with preferred familiarity in EPIC documentation and patient assessment processes. Strong HIPAA compliance is expected along with ability to work under demanding schedules.

Qualifications

• LPN or equivalent licensure required; HS diploma or GED.
• Preferred 1 year in healthcare with PALS/ACLS or IV course certification.
• Knowledge of EPIC documentation and assessment process.

Responsibilities

• Performs general nursing care within the LPN scope of practice.
• Assists with equipment prep and supports clinical providers during treatment and testing.
• Collects assessment data and documents in the patient record; reports changes.
• Orders and gathers diagnostic tests as directed and reviews results before physician assessment.
• Schedules procedures and obtains authorizations; assists with medications and specimen collection.
• Other duties as assigned or requested.
