Responsibilities

• Support Missile Defense Agency targets program office with ballistic missile target vehicle development.
• Assist TC system engineering in requirements development, modeling, simulation, testing, and reporting.
• Work with missile characteristics, data products, and telemetry during tests.
• Configure and operate telemetry data acquisition equipment at test events.
• Perform telemetry data decommutation, reduction, and conversions.
• Create target vehicle visualizations, situational awareness displays, and briefs.
• Support mission planning, analysis, and reporting activities.

Job description

MDR is seeking a skilled Telemetry Engineer to support the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) Targets and Countermeasures Engineering Directorates. In this role, you will provide critical engineering expertise to the team responsible for performing pre-mission trajectory validation and performance analysis for the for the flight test events along with onsite expertise during flight events.

What You\'ll Be Doing:

• Support the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) Targets and Countermeasures (TC) program office with development of ballistic missile target vehicles
• Support the TC System Engineering team in all aspects of target design, analysis, and test to include requirements development and assessment, modeling and simulation, test analysis and reporting
• Utilize knowledge, skills and experience with missile characteristics (physical, kinematics, signatures) and engineering to support engineering activities and data product development
• Technical focus areas include vehicle telemetry and mission analysis
• Configure and operate telemetry data acquisition equipment during test events
• Perform vehicle telemetry data decommutation, reduction, conversions, etc.
• Generate target vehicle visualizations, situational awareness displays, and reports/briefings
• Support mission planning, analysis, and reporting activities
• Collaborate with a dynamic team of experts in multiple technical areas to develop analysis and engineering tools
• Utilize knowledge, skills and experience with missile characteristics (physical, kinematics, signatures) and engineering to support engineering activities and data product development

What Required Skills You\'ll Bring:

• Bachelor\'s degree in STEM with 3+ years of relevant experience
