Job summary

Baptist Health is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to provide compassionate care on Telemetry Units 3 and 4. The PRN days shift supports general medical-surgical and telemetry patients, including those with complex conditions. You will work under RN supervision and contribute to a high-quality patient experience.

The role emphasizes direct patient care, hygiene assistance, specimen handling, and collaboration with nursing staff to ensure safety and dignity for every patient.

Qualifications

• Current Kentucky Nurse Aide Certification or completion of first year of a nursing program with clinical rotation validated.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) must be obtained within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care and assist with daily living activities.
• Assist with personal hygiene, including bathing and oral care.
• Record intake and output; collect and transport specimens for lab analysis.
• Change and transport soiled linens; maintain a clean patient environment.
• Assist with mobility, turns, and positioning as directed by the nurse.
• Communicate patient information to the nurse and help prioritize care.
