Job summary

Intermountain Health LDS Hospital in Salt Lake City, UT is seeking a Patient Care Technician/Health Unit Coordinator to support the patient care team on Medical Telemetry. The role involves delivering basic patient care, patient transport, and collaboration with RNs and the interdisciplinary team.

Full-time day or night shifts are available; weekend/holiday requirements apply. Certification in CNA and BLS preferred, with potential for Health Unit Coordinator duties as needed.

Qualifications

• Current Nursing Assistant Certification (CNA) in the state of practice.
• Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) for healthcare providers.
• Demonstrated basic computer literacy skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver basic patient care (toileting, bathing, linen changes, hydration, comfort).
• Document and report patient care findings in a timely manner.
• Monitor patients and coordinate with the RN and team for care.
• Assist with transporting medications to the RN.
• May assume Health Unit Coordinator responsibilities (phones, orders, unit records).
• Follow plan of care delegated by clinicians and perform duties within scope of practice.
