Qualifications

• Current Nursing Assistant Certification (CNA) in the state of practice.
• Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) for healthcare providers.
• Demonstrated basic computer literacy skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prioritize and deliver basic patient care, including toileting, bathing, linen changes, water, ambulation, and comfort measures.
• Report and record patient care findings promptly; identify condition changes and seek assistance.
• May perform telemetry duties and act as a patient care attendant on the unit.
• Transport medications from the delivery system to the RN as required.
• Collaborate with the RN and interdisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient care.
• May assume Health Unit Coordinator responsibilities (phones, orders, unit records, supplies).
• Implement plan of care as delegated.
• Perform duties within scope of practice and regulatory standards.
• Maintain a safe environment and act during emergencies.
