Job summary

CHRISTUS Health is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to assist with routine patient care under RN supervision in an acute care unit in Shreveport.

You will perform unit duties, prepare rooms, transport patients, document care, and respond to patient needs while maintaining safety and confidentiality. CNA license and BLS are required; high school diploma preferred. Multiple shifts, full-time position.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Patient care experience in acute care setting preferred.
• CNA license in state of employment and BLS required.

Responsibilities

• Assists with admission, transfer, and discharge of patients.
• Completes pertinent documents and maintains unit records.
• Prepares rooms for admission and adjusts beds as needed.
• Transports stable patients safely and maintains confidentiality.
• Cleans, procures and returns equipment and supplies.
• Replenishes patient rooms with water, linen, and towels; responds to emergencies.
• Communicates effectively with team members and responds to patient call lights.
• Adapts patient care to meet individual developmental and cultural needs.
