Job summary
Baptist Health in Richmond, KY seeks a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to support Telemetry units on nights (7P-7A). You will assist patients with hygiene, mobility, and comfort, monitor vitals, and communicate changes to the nurse, delivering compassionate, patient-centered care on a busy medical-surgical telemetry service.
The requirements include Kentucky CNA certification (or first-year nursing program with clinical validation) and BLS within 30 days.
Qualifications
- Kentucky Nurse Aide Certification required or successful completion of first year of a Nursing program with clinical validation.
- High School Diploma or equivalent; Basic Life Support (must be obtained within 30 days of hire).
Responsibilities
- Assist patients with hygiene activities (bathing, oral care, grooming).
- Assist patients with bowel/bladder functions maintaining dignity.
- Record intake and output.
- Collect, label, and transport specimens for lab analysis.
- Change and transport soiled linens per procedure.
- Maintain clean patient rooms/environments.
- Assist with activity, turning, and repositioning as ordered.
- Communicate pertinent information to the patient’s nurse.
- Set priorities for care of multiple patients.
