Baptist Health in Kentucky is hiring a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) for a Telemetry unit on a 7A-7P day shift. The CNA delivers direct and indirect patient care under RN supervision, assisting with hygiene, mobility, I&O, and specimen transport on a 10-bed telemetry unit.

Requires KY Nurse Aide Certification or progress toward a nursing program and BLS within 30 days of hire. Unit experience includes general medicine, telemetry, and post-operative care with emphasis on empathy, teamwork,

Qualifications

• Current Kentucky Nurse Aide Certification required or successful completion of first year of a Nursing program and validation of a clinical rotation.
• High School Diploma or equivalent; Basic Life Support (must be obtained within 30 days of hire).
• BLS certification must be obtained within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with personal hygiene activities such as bathing and care.
• Assist with bowel and bladder functions maintaining dignity.
• Record intake and output (I&O) and collect specimens for lab analysis.
• Transport specimens, change linens, and ensure a clean patient environment.
• Assist with activity, turning and repositioning as ordered by the provider.
• Communicate pertinent patient information to the nurse.
