Job summary

Temple Health – Temple University Health System is seeking a Nursing Assistant to provide direct and indirect patient care under the guidance of a registered nurse. You will perform vital signs, interpret monitoring strips, and assist with ECGs, venipuncture and capillary glucose testing, while supporting Unit Secretary, Patient Transport and Environment of Care duties.

The role supports daily hospital operations and requires completion of Nurse Aide/Medical Assistant training or RN fundamentals

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred.
• General experience as nursing assistant, medical assistant, monitor technician and/or unit secretary preferred.
• Experience as phlebotomist or in telemetry preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct and indirect patient care under the guidance of the registered nurse.
• Measure vital signs and interpret monitoring strips.
• Perform ECGs, venipuncture and capillary blood glucose testing.
• Contribute to Unit Secretary, Patient Transport and Environment of Care duties.
