Job summary

Temple Health – Temple University Health System is seeking a Nursing Assistant or Medical Assistant to provide direct and indirect patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. You will assist with activities of daily living and support the care plan to meet physical, psychosocial, and spiritual needs.

Responsibilities include measuring vital signs, performing ECGs, monitoring equipment, and reporting changes in patient condition.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• Nursing Assistant or Medical Assistant program or completion of at least one clinical rotation preferred.
• Combination of relevant education and experience may be considered in lieu of degree.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct and indirect patient care under the guidance of the Registered Nurse.
• Implement components of the plan of care based on physical, psychosocial and spiritual needs.
• Measure vital signs, perform ECGs, and capillary blood glucose checks.
• Observe and report equipment function, treatment results, and changes in patient condition.
• Incorporate the Hospital Customer Service Program concepts (confidentiality, responsiveness, caring).
• Accountable to the Nurse Manager or designee for all activities.
