Allegheny Health Network is seeking a Telemetry Technician to oversee continuous ECG rhythm monitoring for cardiology patients under RN supervision. This role focuses on accurate rhythm analysis, central monitoring, and timely reporting to nursing staff.

The position involves maintaining telemetry equipment, managing alarms, and assisting with duties like video monitoring and order entry as needed to support patient care goals.

Formación

• Must have high school diploma or GED or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Basic cardiac dysrhythmia training or completion of a cardiac dysrhythmia course upon hire.

Responsabilidades

• Analyzes, interprets and records ECG rhythms according to procedure.
• Maintains continuous assessment of ECG rhythm at central monitor and during patient transport; identifies changes and reports to RN as appropriate.
• Cleans and maintains telemetry monitors/holders and accounts for monitor upon patient discharge.
• Demonstrates knowledge of central station and bedside monitors; ensures alarms are maintained at appropriate levels and settings.
• Performs other unit-specific duties such as video monitoring, order entry and answering phones.
• Performs other duties as assigned or required.
