Allegheny Health Network is seeking a telemetry monitoring professional to observe, interpret, and communicate cardiac rhythms for cardiology patients under RN supervision. Responsibilities include continuous ECG monitoring, alarm management, and support tasks such as video monitoring and order entry.

Ideal candidates hold a high school diploma or GED with basic dysrhythmia training and related experience. CPR certification is typically required, and EMS experience is a plus.

Formación

• High school diploma or GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Basic cardiac dysrhythmia training or completion of a cardiac dysrhythmia training course upon hire.

Responsabilidades

• Analyzes, interprets and records ECG rhythms according to procedure.
• Maintains continuous assessment of ECG rhythm at central monitor and during patient transport; identifies changes and reports to the RN as appropriate.
• Cleans and maintains the telemetry monitors/holders and accounts for monitor upon patient discharge.
• Demonstrates knowledge of central station and bedside monitors; ensures alarms are maintained at appropriate levels and settings.
• Performs other unit specific duties such as video monitoring, order entry and answering phones.
• Performs other duties as assigned or required.
