Job summary

TriHealth Good Samaritan Hospital is seeking an Acute Care Tech (PCA) to assist with basic patient care under RN supervision in a unit focused on vascular, plastic, and general surgical patients. The role supports daily living activities and specific treatments, with emphasis on safety, teamwork, and clinical learning.

This position offers a 24-hour weekly schedule on the day shift (7am–7:30pm) and opportunities for professional development within a collaborative hospital setting.

Qualifications

• 2 years High School Education
• Age 17 with work permit
• Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Reading and math ability appropriate to the position

Responsibilities

• Performs and documents basic patient care tasks under the direct supervision of an RN.
• Maintains a safe environment and reports hazards; follows infection control policies.
• Communicates effectively with patients, families and staff, documenting observations.
• Performs supply, equipment, and environmental activities and ensures readiness for the next shift.
