TriHealth Good Samaritan Hospital is seeking an Acute Care Tech (PCA) to assist with basic patient care under RN supervision in a unit focused on vascular, plastic, and general surgical patients. The role supports daily living activities and specific treatments, with emphasis on safety, teamwork, and clinical learning.
This position offers a 24-hour weekly schedule on the day shift (7am–7:30pm) and opportunities for professional development within a collaborative hospital setting.
The 15AB unit at TriHealth Good Samaritan Hospital specializes in providing comprehensive care for patients undergoing vascular, plastic, and general surgical procedures. Our experienced team cares for patients recovering from a wide range of surgeries, including abdominal aortic aneurysm (AAA) repair, carotid endarterectomy, femoral-popliteal bypass, abdominal surgeries, and fasciotomies. Additionally, we support patients undergoing reconstructive procedures such as TRAM flap surgeries, mastectomies with reconstruction, and mammoplasty reductions.
In addition to our surgical focus, the 15AB unit also provides care for various medical patients requiring close monitoring. We are equipped with telemetry monitoring to track cardiac rhythms and manage cardiac drips, ensuring our patients receive the highest level of care during their stay.

Provides assistance and/or performs basic activities of daily living and specified treatments and procedures under the direct supervision of the nurse. May perform non-direct patient care activities as assigned, requested, or directed including but not limited to stocking and clerical activities. Acute Care Techs in this position have less than 6 months clinical experience and no clinical certificate or training. They are enrolled in the Acute Care Tech Foundations program at TriHealth. Upon completion of the program and at 6 months for transition and competency. At the 6 month evaluation if they demonstrate independence in all competencies for the Acute Care Tech they are moved to the Acute Care Tech I or Acute Care Tech II position if they will also add Unit Coordinator competencies to their day to day responsibilities.
