Responsibilities

Paramedics for the telemedicine program will care for patients at home or in other non-urgent settings outside of the hospital under the supervision of a physician or advanced practice provider. In these settings, paramedics will be expected to draw blood for testing, start IVs, and administer medications as directed by the physician or advanced practice provider.

Qualifications

Education/Formal Training/Licensure/Certifications/Experience:

• High School Diploma and/or GED and an Associate's degree.
• Current NC Paramedic Certification.
• Certified Community Paramedic (CP-C) or obtained within the first 6 months of employment.
• Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, and PALS from AHA.
• Current certification in ITLS or PHTLS.
• FirstHealth Specialty Care Transport Paramedic credentialing required within six months.
• Valid NC driver's license with a good driving history.
• Minimum of 1 year full-time experience in a high-volume EMS service.
