Work Shift: On Call (typically not required).

Responsibilities: Provide professional emergency treatment in the pre-hospital setting. Treat and transport the sick or injured. Uphold the mission, vision, and quality standards of Houston Healthcare.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or GED; vocational training as a Paramedic.
  • Six (6) months of experience.
  • Current Georgia Paramedic certification, valid Georgia driver’s license.
  • AHA/ARC BLS certification, current AHA ACLS/ARC ALS certification.
  • AHA/ARC PALS certification or within 9 months of hire.
  • CPT training within 9 months of hire.
  • FAST-ED stroke scale certification or obtained within three (3) months of hire.

Skills & Abilities: Physical ability to perform job tasks, effective communication skills, ability to establish working relationships, perform under stress, use diagnostic and patient care equipment, and utilize personal protective equipment. Successful candidates will undergo criminal background and drug screening.
