Job summary

LG Electronics North America is seeking a Validation Engineer - CONTRACTOR in Troy, Michigan to validate telematics products using test benches and vehicles. You will execute sanity checks, analyze results, and create test cases aligned with product specs.

You will collaborate with R&D teams across regions, support OEM field tests, and maintain test environments. Travel domestically to OEM sites and related duties up to 8 hours of driving per day.

Qualifications

Bachelor degree in Engineering or equivalent.
Domestic travel ability.
Test bench and vehicle setup knowledge.
Telematics systems technologies familiarity.
Ability to analyze test results against specs.
Experience creating structured test cases & interfaces with bug tracking.
Knowledge of vehicle communication protocols.

Responsibilities

Validate telematics products using test benches and vehicles.
Execute sanity checks and full test cases per specs.
Analyze results to verify specification conformance.
Create and maintain test cases per product specs.
Use tracking system to report defects.
Set up test benches and perform SW updates.
Conduct field tests with OEM partners.
Provide OEM support and environment configuration.
Coordinate with overseas R&D teams to share information.
